The Ministry of Health published tonight (Thursday) the situation of the spread of the corona virus in Israel.
According to the data, since midnight, 5,024 new carriers have been diagnosed out of about 97,000 new tests, with a positive percentage of 5.3.
966 corona patients are hospitalized in hospitals across the country, of which 599 are in critical condition.
This is a slight decrease compared to the morning number, which stood at 603. There was also a decrease in the number of respirators, and now 104 seriously ill patients are connected to respirators.
The death toll increased at nine-thirty.
Since the beginning of the week, the number of deceased has risen by 85, and since the outbreak of the plague, 6,748 corona patients have died in the country.

This is a variant that is under worldwide surveillance and has caused infection in several countries, including the United States.
According to the Ministry of Health, eight of those infected are returning from abroad, while the other two have been infected with the new variant in the country.
