Young artists are redesigning the underpass on Dachauer Strasse in Fürtenfeldbruck.
The town hall, the Fürstenfeld monastery, a large beaver and a lifeguard will in future adorn the pedestrian underpass at the height of the hospital.

At 30 degrees and sunshine and with lots of paint cans, 15 young graffiti artists sprayed colorful motifs on the walls of the Dachau underpass. The motto of the legal action was: "This is Fürstenfeldbruck." One of the people who is active in the scene under the stage name "Welk" sprayed a huge beaver on the wall. “I travel a lot on the Amper and have seen beavers there time and again. That's why I found it very appropriate, ”explains the Gernlindner.
His work of art merges into the painting by Fabian Gierksheide.
He has already sprayed a monk with a scroll and the monastery on.
In addition, a library is to be built.
“I want to show the transmission of knowledge.
The monastery shaped Bruck and is a store of knowledge that not many cities have, ”says the Puchheimer.
“It's a nice feeling when you know that a lot of people walk by here every day and then see your work of art.” It's also great to meet new people on the project.
Artist colleague “Welk” also likes that: “It's cool that there are so many different people here, each with their own style.
This makes the graffiti very varied. "
Lots of beautiful landscapes
On the other side of the underpass, an Amper landscape is being created. “The Fürstenfeldbruck district has many beautiful landscapes, but also places. So we actually thought of two parts, but the youth council only took the natural side, ”says a sprayer from the group that is working on the large graffito. Therefore, the Amper is now winding its way over the wall of the underpass. At the edge are the town hall, houses and a pirate rat. A bridge crosses the river. The lettering "Bruck" runs above it. In addition, a lifeguard is to be created.
The city youth council has assumed the costs for the project. It shouldn't be the last beautification campaign. On September 11th and 12th, the underpass at the Bruck train station will be painted. The project was initiated by the City Youth Council (SJR). "We saw that the underpasses are always so empty and wanted to spice them up," explains SJR member Lena Sabokat. Before that, the gray walls were defaced by scrawly graffiti. "We hope that out of respect for the works of art this no longer happens," says SJR colleague Benedikt Bucher, who presented the idea at a meeting of the new city youth council.
The city had quickly proposed the underpass on Dachauer Strasse, and the SJR then called on artists to send in their designs via social media.
“Everyone should decide for themselves what they have in common with Fürstenfeldbruck.
We were pretty flabbergasted by the suggestions, ”says Bucher.
The panel selected the most appropriate ideas.
“We wanted it to be colorful and give artists from the region the chance who otherwise would not get a chance,” explains Bucher.
