The Bavarian football clubs from the first and second Bundesliga are dissatisfied with the Corona measures in the stadiums.
Now they are fighting against it.
Nuremberg - Six Bavarian football clubs from the first and second Bundesliga talked about their frustration at the “Football Summit” with Interior Minister Joachaim Herrmann.
The clubs from Munich *, Augsburg *, Fürth *, Regensburg *, Ingolstadt * and Nuremberg * feel that they are being treated unfairly towards their competitors from other federal states.
The reason: Up to 50 percent of the spectators (maximum 25,000) can come to every stadium in Germany and standing room can be sold.
But that has not been the case in Bavaria so far.
After the Prime Minister's Conference in July, Markus Söder * decided to only introduce 35 percent capacity utilization in the stadiums.
Since then, a maximum of 20,000 people have been allowed to attend a game and no standing room has been sold.
As a result, the clubs lose a lot of income.
Bavarian soccer clubs have had a legal opinion drawn up
In order to defend themselves against this, the clubs commissioned a legal opinion on the initiative of SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
According to information from
Nordbayern.de
, the report confirms the clubs that the restrictions are no longer acceptable.
The lawyers are of the opinion that the circumstances speak against the principle of equality and proportionality.
That is why the clubs would first like to submit their concerns to the competent authorities - before considering a lawsuit against the state of Bavaria.
At least one thing they have already achieved with the soccer summit: A restriction that was previously included in the 13th Infection Protection Measures Ordinance will soon be removed. In future there will no longer be an incidence limit of 35, which was previously one of the bases for all other measures. The 35 mark was particularly critical for the clubs, as only a maximum of 1,500 spectators were allowed to sit in the stadium. Prime Minister Markus Söder now wants to switch to the 50 percent rule in Bavaria, which will be implemented next week. The Ministry of Health

Demand from the Bavarian football clubs: allow alcohol and standing room again
But the clubs want more: They are demanding that alcohol and standing room be allowed again.
"That is a considerable burden for all Bavarian professional clubs," says Niels Rossow, the commercial director of 1. FC Nürnberg to
Nordbayern.de.
"We cannot ignore the economic component."
In the opinion of the clubs, the distance requirement of 1.5 meters is also debatable as it is contradictory.
None of the clubs could currently implement the legal requirements in their respective stadiums.
The reason they cite is the currently prevailing chessboard pattern for the visitors.
These are distributed according to this scheme in order to be able to ensure the necessary distance.
Interior Minister Herrmann wants to have concerns of the associations checked
Joachim Herrmann would like to have the concerns of the associations checked by the Ministry of Health.
If the result does not correspond to the suggestions of the football clubs, the Bavarian Administrative Court may soon have the case on its table.
