On the 7th last month, the Hong Kong University Student Union Council passed a motion to "memorialize" Liang Jianhui, the suspect in the July 1 assassination. Four members of the Hong Kong University Student Union were later charged with publicizing terrorism and other crimes. The case was brought before the West Kowloon Court yesterday.
Among them, Rong Songxi, a former representative of the Student Union of the College of Arts, was granted bail by the Acting Magistrate Rod Quan, but the prosecution filed a bail review. The case was brought to the High Court today (20th).
Judge Du Libing decided to adjourn the review hearing to the 27th of this month and ordered both parties to submit written submissions to the court on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
The defendants are Zhang Jingsheng (19 years old), Guo Yonghao (20 years old), Du Lin Chengheng (18 years old) and Rong Songxi (19 years old), both charged with promoting terrorism in Hong Kong on July 7, 2021.
They were also charged with one count of alternate charges of inciting others to injure others with intent, that is, on the same day of the same month, illegally inciting others in Hong Kong with the intention of causing serious bodily harm to police officers of the Hong Kong Police Force, and illegally and maliciously harming the ( (Such) police officers.
The defendant in the case was escorted to the court yesterday.

Acting Chief Magistrate Luo Quan yesterday only approved one person to go out with 50,000 yuan in cash and 50,000 person guarantees. During this period, he must not leave Hong Kong. He needs to surrender all travel documents. He must report to the police station 4 times every period and observe the curfew.
