In addition, there are fewer than 5 preliminary confirmed cases today.

According to the Health Protection Center, the 53-year-old male patient (#12049) arrived in Hong Kong from Germany on Lufthansa flight LH796 on August 16, and was quarantined at the One-Eight-One hotel and serviced residences in Hong Kong.
The patient is asymptomatic and carries the L452R variant virus strain.
He received two doses of Fubital vaccine in Hong Kong on April 14 and May 5, and a blood sample in Hong Kong tested positive for antibodies to the new coronavirus spike protein on July 13.
In the second case, the 30-year-old female patient (#12050) was a crew member. She arrived in Hong Kong from Russia on August 18 by taking flight RSY8109.
No symptoms, with L452R variant virus strain.
She received two doses of Sputnik V vaccine in Russia on July 1st and July 22nd.
