The stagnating population development is probably due to a certain extent to Corona: at the end of 2020 there were 11 219 inhabitants (-13) from 90 nations. The average age increased from 37.54 to 38.9 years. The proportion of foreigners is 21 percent. "I'm proud of it. Everyone can learn something from everyone, ”emphasized Niedermair. 122 births are compared to 74 deaths. At 100, the number of people leaving the church is still high (previous year: 154). About as many people (12,000) work in Hallbergmoos as there are living there. There are 1,000 childcare places, 61 of which are not occupied in day nurseries, 37 in kindergartens and 70 in after-school care centers. There are 1084 pupils, 464 of whom are in elementary school and 202 in middle school. The municipality spends most of the money on land acquisition and construction projects.The community has already acquired the land for the new school building in Goldach (14 million euros). According to the mayor, it will take five to six years before we can get started. The primary school extension costs around 5.3 million euros.

The town hall chief calculates that the expansion of the wastewater treatment plant will result in considerable increases in costs.
At the moment 4.1 million euros are set.
