The King of Morocco, Muhammad VI, today (Friday) sent a letter to President Yitzhak Herzog, thanking him for the letter he received during Foreign Minister Yair Lapid's visit to the country, and expressing hope that the renewal of ties between Morocco and Israel would encourage broad regional peace.
A letter from the King of Morocco, sent from the Royal Palace, reads: "Mr. President, thank you for your letter, delivered by Yair Lapid, during his visit to Morocco.

"I am pleased with the steps taken to renew ties between our countries. I believe that we will make this momentum sustainable in order to promote the prospect of peace for all the peoples of the region. With great respect, Muhammad VI," he wrote.
