It all started with a video watched by no less than 9 million people by a tic-tac-toe named Tanya who shares quite a few cleaning tips and tricks - who demonstrated how to paint with a wall-painting roller, mixes baking soda with a generous amount of antibacterial detergent and then rolls the roller on the walls.
According to her, the use of a roller makes cleaning the wall especially easy because it is simply rolled over the entire area, so there is no need to rub at all.

After someone admitted that this trick was not really meant to clean the walls, but rather to make the house smell better, the expert replied: "It's still a waste - because the house will only smell good as long as the walls are wet, not when they are dry."
A second cleaning expert joined the discussion and clarified: "It is not called cleaning - it is painted with a brush. The roller is a product that absorbs material and does not clean."
Another expert also warned that this method could pose a fire hazard if used repeatedly - because the disinfectants are flammable.
