A life as dizzying as the sensation you feel on the tracks, when accelerating on the balance of a motorcycle at maximum speed.

Life is served to fulfill dreams.

And there was

Virginia Guidetti

, the Santa Fe who stood out as a model of haute couture around the world, and who left one of her passions, sold a piece of land and dedicated herself to another:

motorcycling

.

“I spent more than 15 years working as a model and traveled all over the world, but I reached a point where I realized that it was something that I no longer liked.

So I started looking for what made me happy, ”

confessed Virginia, a native of San Lorenzo, Santa Fe.

Today he remembers that situation, which at the time was presented as a crisis, which finally turned into an opportunity:

“I was in Japan and my old man bought some motorcycles, which made me decide and return home.

Later, he had the good idea of taking me to a clinic at the Rosario racetrack and there I was already fully involved in motorcycling ”

Guidetti will be one more among the many riders who will compete this Saturday on the third date of the Argentine SuperBike at the Oscar and Juan Gálvez racetrack, in Buenos Aires, with Carburando transmission from 2pm on TyC Sports.

The transition from the catwalks to the slopes was neither easy nor as fast as the accelerations.

Virginia rides a Yamaha R3, which was not so easy to achieve:

“For six or seven years I did track days, but there came a time when the motorcycle I had set a limit for me and I wanted to continue learning, although I had no plan and counted with a coach.

So I bought the R3, I had to sell a piece of land where I planned to live, but when to do it because I wanted the bike ”.

One of his mentors was the legendary and popular René Zanatta, a former motorcycle and motorsport racer: "I met René a few years ago and he always encouraged me to race."

Finally after those experiences, he was encouraged to compete.

“I decided to try to run, but in 2019 it was not possible and in 2020 when I was about to score for the first, the pandemic exploded.

One more year has passed and now here we are seeing what all this is about, ”Virginia told the Agenda Carburando program.

“My friends think I'm a little crazy, but I think it's something that caught me inside.

I consider that I was born with this passion because I always liked racing, but I do not come from a family linked to competition or anything.

I started riding a motorcycle when I

grew up

, he explained.

He also made an analogy about the level he reached in modeling and motorcycling.

“I worked in haute couture, which within fashion is the highest you can aspire to.

It could be said that it reaches what in motorcycling is the World Superbike.

I had an entrance to the high level, but the demands are many and I did not have the exact body as they want.

Perhaps passion did not accompany me because if I wanted to, I could do it, but it didn't do me any good and that's why I left it ”

, he declared.

Virginia Guidetti changed her life to dedicate herself to motorcycling.

With a height that exceeds 80 meters, the physique was a great virtue for haute couture fashion.

“For the rest of life it is a complication.

You can't get clothes, it's uncomfortable, and for motorcycles it's not ideal ”

, he warns.

And he highlights:

“To be a good model and a good pilot you have to have discipline.

There are no greater secrets than perseverance ”

.
