'' Contain 'Gaza Version ": Right-wing calls for harsh response to attack on Border Patrol | Israel Today

2021-08-21T20:36:50.547Z

Following the riots on the border fence, right-wing MKs and local authorities attack the government over the "lack of response to the shooting in Sderot," which they claim has led to warming in Gaza • MK Smutritz: "The government contains Abbas" • Chairman if you will: This is the IDF

"Hezbollah and Hamas are raising their heads, and the reactions are not coming":

After the shooting at the border fighter and his severe injury, as well as the riots near the border fence in Gaza, pressure is mounting on the government, mainly from right-wing elements to respond aggressively to the events.

The chairman of Religious Zionism, MK Smutrich, said the government contained the incident that "Mansour Abbas and supporters of terrorism should be included".

In his response, Smutrich teased Interior Minister Shaked, who said the government was containing the increase in the number of corona nationals.

MK Israel Katz wrote on his Twitter account that "weakness invites violence." Katz said the lack of response to the shooting in Sderot led to clashes over the fence.

Weakness invites violence.

The fence incidents in Gaza and the severe damage to the border fighter come after the lack of response to the shooting on Sderot and after the conclusion of the transfer of Qatari money to Gaza.

The harsh criticism also came from the heads of the authorities in the Gaza Strip.

Tamir Idan, head of the Sdot Negev Regional Council, said: "Unfortunately, what has been happening in recent weeks is a direct result of the lack of deterrence that has existed in recent years, especially after the 'Wall Guard.' According to him, the practice of which terrorist organizations are responsible for the terrorist acts is irrelevant, in the Gaza Strip there is one address and that is Hamas.

Idan addressed the prime minister and defense minister, saying: "Respond very forcefully without delay. Do not bomb empty dunes, but hit the snake's head and eliminate the leaders of Hamas at the cost of escalation.

Idan asked the government to respond after the shooting in Sderot, saying: "We will not be able to accept the reality of shooting from Gaza and drips. We need the government to respond with a hard hand and immediately and cut off anyone who tries to harm us without any delay."

Matan Peleg, chairman of the If You Will movement, chose to attack the IDF spokesman: "When the IDF spokesman calls hundreds of terrorists 'rioters,' we understand that the problem starts in the head.

The despicable treatment of terrorists as demonstrators should be uprooted.

A terrorist who approaches the fence should receive a bullet in the head, and not an forgiving and embarrassing treatment from the IDF.

MK Miri Regev also responded to the events today, saying that "the laxity of Bush Bennett's government is charging us heavy prices, Hezbollah and Hamas are raising their heads, and the reactions are not coming."

MK Michal Waldiger of Religious Zionism also joined the criticism of the government and said that "we are continuing with the laxity and the legal perceptions that are going on the battlefield."

When they do not respond to the firing of missiles into Sderot, which continue with the laxity and legal perceptions that are rampant on the battlefield, ill-fated terrorists manage to riot unhindered at the border fence and injure a fighter.

It's time for sovereignty, let our warriors win!

As mentioned, Defense Minister Bnei Gantz responded to the events in an interview with Network 13 and said: "The events in the Gaza Strip are serious, we will respond accordingly."
