The employees of Hoerbiger Kompressortechnik GmbH in Schongau collected 3,000 euros and donated it to socially disadvantaged and seriously ill people in the district.

The Schongauer Tafel and the hospice association in Pfaffenwinkel each received 1,500 euros.

Schongau

- The donations were made on behalf of the employees of Marcus Grödl, Managing Director of Hoerbiger Kompressortechnik GmbH, and Herbert Baumer, Chairman of the Works Council of Hoerbiger at the Schongau site.

Birgit Gutzeit, head of the Schongauer Tafel, as well as Steffen Röger, managing director of the hospice association, and Renate Dodell, chairwoman of the hospice association, accepted them.

The Schongauer Tafel provides many people in the area with essential things such as food and clothing.

With the donation, the employees of the food bank can pay the running costs of the food distribution.

Be it the rent for the premises, costs for packaging materials or other logistics costs.

The hospice association in Pfaffenwinkel would like to use the donation to improve the work of the outpatient service.

There are currently 160 volunteer hospice attendants in nine groups between Herrsching, Starnberg, Penzberg and Schongau to look after terminally ill people at home as well as in old people's or nursing homes and hospitals.

The accompaniment not only includes the best possible care for the sick, but also support for family members who are caring for them.

Steffen Röger, managing director of the hospice association, says: “We want to support the people affected in this difficult phase of life.

In retrospect, it is important to us to have the feeling that we have done everything that was possible in the respective situation. "

“It is a very important task to stand up for people in the region who need help. We see it as our duty to support social institutions on a regular basis ”, says Marcus Grödl, Managing Director of Hoerbiger Kompressortechnik GmbH.
