A 36-year-old man was shot dead in an apartment in Haifa, the suspect: tried to snatch my weapon

A 36-year-old man was shot to death this morning (Saturday) in the head in an apartment on Nordau Street in Haifa.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the shooter, a 61-year-old area resident who worked in the security field, claimed he was trying to snatch his weapon, and he in response shot him in the head.
The shooter was arrested and is now being questioned by police.
The victim was apparently a street dweller.
MDA staff were called to the scene of the incident and provided medical treatment to the wounded, who was initially defined as human.

MDA paramedic Hanan Zohar said: "When we entered the apartment, we saw the wounded man lying unconscious with a gunshot wound to his body.
"We immediately began life-saving medical treatment, which included stopping bleeding, giving medication for anesthesia and resuscitation, and evacuated him in a critical condition for further treatment at the hospital."
