Lebanese President General Michel Aoun affirmed that the new government to be formed in the country will be able to carry out the required reforms and have the confidence of the parliamentary blocs.
Aoun said in a televised speech tonight: “I will continue to work until we reach solutions, and I will not be affected by auctions or media campaigns, and I will not abandon my duties and responsibilities,” noting that he took the initiative to solve pressing crises and urgent problems after all state agencies that are supposed to take decisions were disrupted.
Aoun added that the situation is difficult, but with our solidarity, we are able to gradually reach the desired results, pointing out that it was decided to subsidize fuels by bearing part of the cost to the treasury and to give public sector employees urgent assistance, pending a review of salaries according to the rules and within a comprehensive recovery plan in the country.
On the 26th of last month, the Lebanese presidency announced the nomination of Najib Mikati to form the new government in the country.
