The new patients were between 11 and 18 years old, and all were found to have the L452R variant virus, and one of them had been vaccinated.
The three patients had departed from Kazakhstan, Venezuela and Nigeria respectively this week or on different days, and all had transferred to Qatar's capital Doha by flight QR818 to Hong Kong.
Among them, an 18-year-old man (#12052) who arrived in Hong Kong from Venezuela had received two doses of Sinopharm vaccine in June.
In addition, there were fewer than 5 newly confirmed cases yesterday.
The Hong Kong government stated that it will confirm arrangements with the Philippines and Indonesia for foreign domestic helpers to come to Hong Kong as soon as this week.
Newly arrived foreign domestic helpers will need to be quarantined at one or two designated hotels.
