Independents and business owners are demonstrating tonight (Saturday) in front of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's house in Raanana.
This, in protest of the uncertainty regarding the expected restrictions and against the background of the economic difficulties encountered during the Corona period.
The protesters arrived in a convoy of vehicles at the compound, demanding that the Minister of Finance and the Prime Minister provide financial support and compensation to the self-employed who are already affected by the Corona restrictions in the tourism, culture and entertainment industries.
The chairman of the Histadrut's Independent Forum, Rami Beja, called on Bennett to provide immediate compensation to self-employed people who have been harmed by government decisions: "Self-employed and business owners will not be second-class citizens in the State of Israel.
I call on the Prime Minister, take responsibility.
We will not give up or keep quiet until the independent sector in Israel has a social safety net that will give it a future in the chaos in which we live. "
