Occupied Jerusalem-SANA
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call on the international community, led by the Security Council and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization “UNESCO” to implement the UN resolutions on occupied Jerusalem and its sanctities and to stop the continuous crimes of the occupation against it.
In a statement today, on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the crime of burning Al-Aqsa, and reported by Wafa Agency, the Foreign Ministry stated that the deliberate fire of Al-Aqsa is still continuing and in more dangerous forms, including the occupation’s attempt to change its historical and legal status, distorting the ground beneath it and forging its landmarks with excavations, in addition to the continuous daily incursions by settlers to protect the occupation forces.
The Foreign Ministry indicated that the occupation's violations against Al-Aqsa and the rest of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem are part of its plan to Judaize the occupied city, displace Palestinians from it and completely separate it from its Palestinian surroundings.
