Prime Minister Bennett today (Saturday) commented on his Facebook account tomorrow's discussion in the cabinet, which is expected to deal with the approval of the opening of the school year as planned on September 1. The Prime Minister has promised that high school students will study as usual.
The prime minister called on parents to vaccinate all children over the age of 12 - as early as this week, adding: "A class that does not have at least 70% of vaccinated students (first shot) will not be able to attend class until the epidemic peaks, if they are in a red locality," the prime minister said.
As for elementary and kindergarten students, the prime minister decided on another solution: "We will make sure that even before the start of the school year the parents receive a home test kit from Corona (free of charge) and you will be asked to perform the test one day before the start of the year."
As you may recall, at the request of Education Minister Yifat Shasha Bitton, the Corona Cabinet will convene tomorrow to finally approve the outline for the opening of the school year.
The decision will bind the entire government.
