Bad Wiessee / Gmund - The winners of the 2021 city cycling in Bad Wiessee and Gmund have now been honored.

With excellent results.

Bad Wiessee took part in city cycling for the second time. From June 19 to July 9, 17,813 kilometers were cycled and thus three tons of CO2 were avoided. 98 active cyclists started in 14 teams. This year's winning team is the Bad Wiessee police station with 2,775 kilometers. As a thank you, the 14 participants received tickets for the next #wiesseerocks concert. But the local parliament has also contributed to the great success of city cycling with ten cyclists and an impressive 2,696 kilometers.

"As in 2020, Hannelore and Herbert Martin again set the kilometer record per capita with 1,152 kilometers each," the municipality announced.

“They have increased their previous year's result by 389 kilometers per person.” They are particularly pleased that, in addition to the “bicycle gangsters” from the fourth grade at the Bad Wiessee elementary school, this year children from grade 3a also took part.

Three winners were determined in both classes:

  • In class 3a Lukas Rullmann-Stekl (132 kilometers), Mia Örlös (99 kilometers) and Louis Rudek (95 kilometers).

  • In fourth grade Sophia Zimmermann (141 kilometers), Marinus Guillon (134 kilometers) and Toni Linsinger (95 kilometers).
