District - On September 26th there is a general election.

The yellow sheet introduces all candidates from constituency 223.

Today: Alexander Radwan (CSU).

We gave him seven topics.

Here are his answers:

The highways and federal highways in the constituency are important transit routes.

Nevertheless, for residents it needs ...

... compatible solutions that take the interests of local residents into account and take sensitive account of the environment and nature.

Road construction measures such as the Tölzer Nordtangente or the Holzkirchner bypass relieve the pressure and ensure traffic-free passages for everyone - whether locals, commuters or travelers.

They are part of the needs-based mobility that we need in the Oberland.

The traffic turnaround is currently a big issue in the Oberland and nationwide.

In the areas of public transport and cycling, there is an urgent need ...

... the process that has been initiated will be pursued vigorously.

For example, the BRB must be operated electrically as soon as possible and run every half hour.

We also initiated our joining the MVV through a CSU initiative - the sooner it is completed, the better.

The bicycle is my favorite personal means of transportation - in the future there should be a well-developed cycle path parallel to every federal road and along every important route.

The federal government is already making a lot of money available for this.

In particular, however, we need to reduce bureaucracy and become more dynamic in bicycle mobility.

Climate protection is also currently playing a major role, but it often starts with the small things.

In the Oberland as well as at the federal level ...

... the climate must be taken into account in every decision.

At the federal level, we can support the Oberland by combining ecology and economy with market-based subsidies and consulting services.

We have to get rid of old, climate-damaging oil heating systems, for example, by advising homeowners, municipalities and businesses, and by specifically promoting innovative and climate-friendly technologies and heating methods such as photovoltaics, heat pumps or solar.

This makes climate protection attractive and at the same time strengthens our economy.

I myself used photovoltaics and heat pumps when building my house ten years ago.

The number of day trippers in the Oberland has increased again with the corona pandemic.

In the interests of the locals and guests, it is imperative that ...

... we intelligently control the increasing traffic through digital solutions and at the same time strengthen alternative forms of travel.

Our Oberland is so attractive for a reason.

But it has to stay that way - for everyone.

Locals must not be crushed.

At the same time, livelihoods from tourism and the hospitality industry must not be jeopardized.

Real estate prices and rents have also skyrocketed again due to the corona pandemic.

In the future, the average citizen will only be able to afford living space in the Oberland if ...

... we build, build, build and create affordable living space.

This also means that we have to make new construction more uncomplicated and densify localities.

There are several district clinics in the constituency.

In order to make municipal hospitals future-proof, it takes ...

... a move away from the flat rate per case and the economic pressure on hospitals as well as a clear commitment to local basic care.

I myself can live without restrictions after my heart attack, mainly because the medical care on site worked perfectly, and I am therefore aware of the value of comprehensive health care.

The corona pandemic has also highlighted the nursing emergency in Germany more clearly.

The situation will only improve if ...

... the important improvements in the last legislative period are followed by further steps.

The Nursing Staff Strengthening Act, the Health Care and Care Improvement Act, the introduction of minimum staffing levels, the Hospital Future Act, the strengthening of digitization in nursing, collective bargaining in care for the elderly ... are important first steps to remedy the shortage of nursing staff and make nursing professions more attractive, better paid and more respected.
