In honor of the holidays, Idan Raichel finds a live performance album accompanied by the Argentine Symphony Orchestra.
The album contains 23 tracks with the best songs from Raichel's extensive repertoire, recorded in Buenos Aires, as part of his performances with the orchestra.
"Several years ago, at the end of a show in New York, I was approached by Fernando Kegel, a businessman from Buenos Aires," shares Raichel.
"He said that after suffering a heart attack, shortly after his 60th birthday, he promised himself to fulfill his dream of becoming a flutist in an orchestra.
"There, in a behind-the-scenes meeting in New York, he introduced me to the orchestra he had formed. I heard and saw a wonderful orchestra playing a wide repertoire, which had its own conductor and schedule. A few weeks later Fernando offered me to come to Buenos Aires and create a show of my songs The project. This album is made up of our best recordings from these shows. So have fun and happy new year! "
