Andrea Becker succeeded Ingrid Reh as the first director of the Karlsfeld Symphony Orchestra in March.
She is married and has lived in Karlsfeld since 1982. The former high school teacher, who taught at the Josef-Effner-Gymnasium in Dachau, played the piano and cello in her youth, sang in the school choir and was part of the school orchestra. Since January 1983 she has been a member of the St. Josef Church Choir, and since summer 2020 she has also supported the church services in St. Anna. In November 2011 the musician finally dared to join the Karlsfeld Symphony Orchestra. Everyone who is also interested in it is invited to come for a trial evening (pre-registration requested at info@karlsfelder-sinfonieorchester.de).
