The Serological Testing System, operated by the Home Front Command, is facing significant difficulties today (Sunday), after the app and the website collapsed due to high demand, while a malfunction in Cellcom's communications system - through which the system operates - slowed down the pace of activity.

As a result, congestion was created in the complexes, which are today concentrated in the southern region - Ashkelon, Omer and the Bedouin diaspora, and the Home Front Command switched to manual feeding.

"Defect site is recognized and treated by the Home Front Command," the IDF Spokesperson stated. "By solving the problem of computerization, the tests will continue as planned and will be fed manually, with the return operation of the computer system."

The general sector serological testing operation has been launched in an expanded format, with the aim of locating corona recoverers aged 12-3, so that they will not have to enter isolation in case of contact with a verified person and the number of isolations in the education system will be reduced.

The serological test is actually a blood test that involves a needle puncture and is performed free of charge.

Later this week he will reach other parts of the country.

"There are not enough positions, everything is a mess," said Aviva, who arrived with her 7-year-old granddaughter at the testing complex at Abba Hushi's house in Haifa.

"Home Front Command personnel are just walking around here, and there are only two checkpoints."

For this operation, another 6,000 soldiers from the Home Front Command were recruited to make as wide a deployment as possible.

In the last two weeks, the operation was conducted in the ultra-Orthodox sector and yielded less percentages than expected.

The Ministry of Education and Health predicts that there will be between 20% -30% of students who will find recovery in these tests, but on average there are currently only 18%.

The ultra-Orthodox cities were strongholds of disease, so in general society the percentage is expected to even drop to 15% in total.

On Friday, the Ministry of Health announced the cessation of the use of one of the rapid serological testing systems, after the test results were not clear enough.

The use of the kits, which are of the "Rapid Response" type and marketed in Israel by the Diasurin company, was done for only three days, as part of the serological survey among children under the age of 12 in the framework of education.

The Ministry of Health emphasized that the other rapid serological test kits were tested again and found to be rapid.
