Ryan Reynolds, This Time Disappointed Israel today

2021-08-22T05:36:58.662Z

"Release Guy" is marketed as an original film - the only one in the area that is not a sequel, remake or spin-off.

In "Free Guy", the biggest summer hit to come out of Hollywood this year, Ryan Reynolds plays Guy - a marginal and unimportant character in a popular computer game, who suddenly realizes that she is a marginal and unimportant character in a popular computer game.

This is a high-impact adventure film that is marketed to the general public as an "original film", as the only blockbuster in the environment that is not a sequel, reboot, remake or spin-off.

From a marketing standpoint, this tactic may work well (according to the box office data), but in every other way, it's a false claim. In absolute Pike News. I haven't seen a movie in a long time that reminded me of so many other movies.

The above fact becomes especially ridiculous and cynical when you consider that the entire first half of the film (which among other things traces two brilliant programmers, who dream of launching a computer game that is not a sequel and is not part of a successful brand) deals with "the importance of originality".

The start, which puts us in a violent GTA or Fortnight-style computer game, is actually promising.

We meet Guy, an innocent and kind bank clerk who spends his days in "being in the background", while various players rob the bank where he works.

But everything changes after he falls head over heels in love with a very cool actress named Millie (the wonderful Judy Comer, who became famous thanks to the thrilling role she does in the series "Kill Eve").

From there, it turns out that Millie is actually a genius programmer trying to prove that the game company's evil boss (amusingly played by New Zealand director Taika Waititi) is a thief and a swindler.

Of course Guy decides to abandon his boring and repetitive life and help her with her mission.

In the end, despite his shameless statements, "Release Guy" mostly turns out to be a lazy and flightless combination between "Truman's Show" and "Ralph the Horse," with touches of "Player One," "Gamer," "They Live." "Lego movie", "Jumenji" and "The end of tomorrow" or "Waking up yesterday morning".

If all this is not enough, then in the last act there are a few more "surprises" and "guest appearances" that only continue to degenerate the film into recycled and sucking districts.

Young viewers are expected to flow with it.

It annoyed and exhausted me.

Apparently the screenwriters are keeping their original ideas for "Release Guy 2."
