Just before the start of the school year, students in the red localities are troubled by the possibility of opening the year from home - through the screens • "We haven't been vaccinated much, it endangers us all"

Students in the red localities are troubled by the possibility that they will be forced to open the next school year from home - through the screens and zoom.

They are now calling on their friends to get vaccinated to return to a healthy and safe routine.

Ariel Sianov (15), a student who is entering the ninth grade from Or Yehuda, has been vaccinated and is waiting to return to school, but is very afraid of getting infected in Corona at school, and is not at all sure he can return to class if most students are not vaccinated.

"Although I was vaccinated, I personally know a lot of students who do not. Apart from the health risk, it jeopardizes the start of our school year. I and many other students are tired of the zoom and want to return to physical education in class. Right now, I do not know. My city is defined as red, and it depends on the number of vaccinated children. "

Ariel Sianov: "At any moment I may be put in solitary confinement",

He added that although he is vaccinated, he fears he will still have to go into solitary confinement because the classroom is a crowded place: "I have a feeling that at any moment I may be put in solitary confinement, even though I am vaccinated. Because of someone's mistake, one of the other students may pay the price."

Sapir Feder, 16, a resident of Rishon Lezion, a city that is currently considered red according to the traffic light index, is in the 10th grade and will study this year at the Atid Technology School in Palmachim. This regional school has students from almost 30 cities and towns in the area, some of which are defined as red and orange.

In the middle school in Rishon Lezion, she learned mostly from home, except for a few days during different periods of learning in class capsules when there was no closure or when her health was better. She herself is vaccinated, and so are her close friends.

"The fear is twofold. It would be bad if because there are not enough vaccinated we would have to go back to zooming. Last year we studied almost all year remotely and it was not good, it was very difficult for a lot of students and me. It was very difficult to maintain concentration and a lot of noise in class. Learning through a computer or a screen, it creates a gap between students. Back to learning zoom is the worst idea for me.

"I hope that as many as possible will be vaccinated to avoid learning zoom.

This is my second fear - getting to class and finding out that there are also those who are not vaccinated who may not know they are sick or contagious because they have no symptoms.

"Besides, it is known that even those who are vaccinated can become infected again."

Sapir Feder: "Learning Zoom made it difficult for many students and me," Yossi Zeliger

Shelly Agam, (17), an 11th grade student at Makif T. Ashdod and acting chairman of the municipal youth council, calls on her friends to finish the vaccine issue so that the school year opens as a series

. I hope we do not go back to studying zoom, because then the situation of the youth will deteriorate significantly. I see no reason to learn through the zoom, as long as you get vaccinated and follow the guidelines. Zoom has hurt the youth both academically and mentally. "She

added that" we did not get enough tools to learn in this way, which is in fact independent learning. On the other hand, it is certainly scary to go back to school when not all students are vaccinated. "Because it's scary, we need to know that those sitting next to us can be trusted, and know that they are not endangering us and our family."
