The family of the woman who was killed yesterday (Sunday) in a tree fall on the promenade in Tiberias is trying to digest the unusual death.

The son of Anna Rimburg, 63, a resident of Rehovot, said the incident occurred while the family was on vacation for a cousin's wedding.

After an agronomist inspection in Tiberias, it was found that the palm weevil pest was not in the tree, and it is still unclear what caused the collapse.

"My parents and my brother took a walk on the promenade in Tiberias, went to an ancient synagogue and walked around it, and out of nowhere a tree fell on it and killed it on the spot," said the cousin.

"I called them several times on the way to Tiberias to see that everything was fine. It was two in the afternoon. I chatted with them and hung up quickly, thinking 'what if this is the last call?', And called again. They laughed and longed to get to Tiberias after almost twenty years."

During the incident, winds were blowing at a speed of 70 km / h, which led to the tree breaking and collapsing on Rimburg. MDA teams first reported a woman trapped and unconscious, and later had to be pronounced dead. "In the evening I got a push on my cell phone about the incident. I immediately called the parents to get the answer. At first there was a murmur, then Dad said 'Mum is not here, mum is dead and we have no mum anymore.' "Dad and my brother saw it. It was impossible to identify her."

"We just want to understand the situation and what happened, obviously I want answers and understand how such a tree falls, because the wind was not strong. It was not perceived and it is hallucinatory. Such situations should not happen. Obviously there is someone responsible," he said.

He said his mother was a well-known dentist on the streets.

"She was loved, curious and loved to learn, a bookworm. Loves her grandchildren devoted to work. She underwent chemotherapy, the cancer came back to her and again she was saved that everything was clean. Everything was cut off yesterday, all my parents' dreams and now I have to take care of Dad. I am in utter shock." .
