Anthony Fischer retires from basketball at the age of 35 and after a professional career that lasted 13 years, Israel Today has learned.
Fisher, a graduate of Tennessee Tech College, began his professional career in 2008 and has actually played about half of his career in Israeli basketball in the Premier League and National League.
In 2015, he also received Israeli citizenship following his marriage to an Israeli.
Among others, he played for Nahariya, Elitzur Ramla, Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Beer Sheva, Bnei Herzliya, Hapoel Afula and last season for Hapoel Galil Elyon.
In recent years, he became a contractor for promotions when he helped Maccabi Haifa, Bnei Herzliya and last season also the team from Kfar Blum to qualify for the Premier League.
During his career he also played in France, Germany, Austria and Poland.
