Economics Minister Aiwanger feels misunderstood.

His statements about vaccination are constantly being interpreted differently.

Meanwhile, there is praise for Söder's departure from incidence.

Munich - It was a brief statement by the Prime Minister in an interview with

Münchner Merkur *

that caused some confusion in state politics.

"I am pleased that Hubert Aiwanger is now promoting vaccination again," said Markus Söder *.

And: “That is good for the coalition.” Even many insiders missed it.

Aiwanger himself denied it on Sunday.

So far he has always said the same thing, it is just constantly being interpreted differently, he told the

Munich Mercury

.

His position: “Anyone can get vaccinated.

I am glad that we now have vaccines, but nobody should be forced to do so, everyone should make their own decisions, including parents for their children.

I am in favor of 3G instead of 2G and still see testing as an important tool in the fight against Corona. ”Therefore, the federal government should offer free tests * beyond October 11th.

The Prime Minister's Conference decided to end the free tests.

Söder believes that this has also given new impetus to vaccinations.

Perhaps Söder based his statements on Aiwanger's appearance on RTL last week.

There the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs said, among other things, that 20 to 30 percent of the people were still unvaccinated - as he himself, incidentally.

Corona in Bavaria: Aiwanger's change of opinion would be surprising

A real change of opinion Aiwanger would be at least surprising, because only last week his partner Tanja Schweiger had made the headlines.

As the only district administrator in the Upper Palatinate, the Regensburg district administrator Schweiger had not participated in an advertising campaign for the corona vaccination *.

The couple's attitude had recently caused displeasure within the Free Voters.

After all, there is unity in the state government on the subject of turning away from incidence *. In an interview, Söder announced that he would adopt the Baden-Württemberg model. Accordingly, the openings remain even if the incidence exceeds 50, and there would no longer be an emergency brake at 100. However, the so-called 3G rule - vaccinated, recovered or tested - would then have to be introduced everywhere. In Bavaria it is de facto already today.

"The dispute over whether 2G or 3G should apply and the sole focus of all corona measures on the incidence value have become the bone of contention in our Bavarian coalition in recent weeks," said the parliamentary manager of the Free Voters, Fabian Mehring.

With his commitment to the equality of vaccinated, tested and recovered people and moving away from incidence, the Prime Minister resolved the dispute.

Bavaria's FDP leader Daniel Föst also welcomed the announced move away from incidence: "Söder is finally moving."
