The Directorate of Certified Accountants in the Ministry of Finance has announced the start of accepting applications for those wishing to take the exam to obtain a certified accountant who meet the conditions stipulated in Law No. 33 of 2009, which includes organizing the accounting and auditing profession and the controls established by the Accounting and Auditing Board, from today until the 23rd of next month .

According to an announcement from the Directorate, SANA received a copy of it, the applicant is required to have a university degree from one of the faculties of economics or commerce, accounting specialization from Syrian universities or its equivalent, or to have a university degree from one of the faculties of economics or commerce from other specializations under the conditions specified by law. .

According to the Directorate, applicants will undergo a written examination in a number of legislations related to the accounting and auditing profession, international financial reporting standards, international accounting and auditing standards, professional conduct rules, tax laws, their accounting applications and financial analysis.

Applications and documents are received at the Office of the Ministry of Finance or the Office of the Finance Directorates in the governorates after completing all papers, paying fees, exam allowance, and duly marking the stamps within the announced period according to the announcement.

The directorate indicated that, according to the relevant decisions, those who joined the compulsory or reserve service in the Syrian Arab Army and whose duties did not enable them to attend the exam in 2019 and beyond are entitled to retain their right to the exam fees paid by them for a period of three years, provided that they attach their application with a document proving the reasons for their inability to Attend the exam on time in addition to the summary of the criminal record.

She pointed out that after submitting the applications, the Minister of Finance, based on the proposal of the Committee on Admission and Examination Supervision, issues a decision that includes the names of those accepted who are entitled to take the exam, provided that the date is set later by a decision of the Accounting and Auditing Board.
