Grandfather was not guilty

The case originally involved 5 defendants, namely: the father (44 years old), mother (42 years old), grandmother (67 years old), uncle (39 years old) and grandfather (65 years old) of woman victim X. Only the grandfather was convicted of the crime .

X's father, grandmother, and uncle were convicted of conspiring to obstruct justice from October 8, 2018 to January 23, 2019, causing X to change the original evidence in the criminal case of the High Court; X's parents were accused of conspiracy to obstruct justice. The ruling was made on October 20, 2018 for obstruction of justice, alleging that X's mother and X left Hong Kong with the intent to prevent them from giving evidence in criminal cases as prosecution witnesses.

X's father was sentenced to the heaviest sentence and was sentenced to 6 and a half years in prison. X's mother was sentenced to 3 years and September, and X's grandmother and uncle were sentenced to 4 years and September.

X mother detective took her daughter out of Hong Kong afterwards

According to the case, the female victim X, accompanied by her mother, filed a report in 2017 and alleged that she was sexually assaulted by her father.

The arrested father X was charged with 2 counts of rape and 5 counts of indecent assault. X was between 11 and 12 years old at the time of alleged sexual assault.

The case was originally scheduled to be heard in the High Court on October 25, 2018, and X and X's mother were both prosecution witnesses.

Only 5 days before the interrogation, X's mother visited X's father at the Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre, and she took X to Shenzhen before the interrogation.

However, the trial judge also ordered the police to follow up on the welfare of X and his younger brother. The police contacted X afterwards. X revealed that he was affected by his grandmother and uncle, and several of X’s family members were arrested.

X said he was instigated by his family to change his confession

When X gave a testimony in court, she revealed the actions of many family members to persuade and abet her to change her confession, including her uncle asking her to go to court with heavy makeup and revealing clothes, and pretending to be a lawyer to simulate cross-examination of X.
