"After I was on the verge of dissolution, the team from Sharon that raised dozens of talented players in the 2000s set out on a new path." Giora Antman has been appointed goalkeeping coach

Last summer, the Betar Tobruk football club, which has produced many well-known players in Israeli football, was on the verge of dissolution.

But with the entry of Adv. Lisa New as the club's liquidator and her choice of Itzik Ganish as the man who would chart the new path, the spirit of the club changed from end to end.

Tobruk recently appointed Slobodan Drapic as its professional director.

"I lovingly accepted the club's offer and for me it is closing the circle as Betar Tobruk was the first club to give me the stage after I retired from active play.

"Today I am proud to return and give my experience precisely at this time when the club needs my help and I am sure that in light of the much work that is being done here, it is not far off today that the club will return to its good old days."

Another football figure who landed in Tobruk is goalkeeping coach Giora Antman, who has a rich past as a goalkeeping coach on many teams in the Premier League and the Israeli national team.

Antman's arrival to strengthen those standing between the beams proves that Tobruk does not intend to compromise on the quality of the professional staff at the club.

"I'm happy to join a project built in Tobruk," Antman said.

"The potential for success at the club is very high and I am glad that I was given the opportunity to take part in promoting the club's goalkeepers forward."

Drapich and Antman join professional manager Daniel Cohen appointed by Ganish as soon as he takes office.

"There is no doubt that this is a strengthening of a tie-breaker," Cohen explains.

"The professional requirements in training are at the level of an alumni group and our players feel it well in both the youth team and the youth teams."

"The most important thing for me is the success of our children at the club," said general manager Itzik Ganish. There is still a lot of work ahead of us, but we already feel that the club is in a good direction and in good hands. "
