The demolition and earthworks on the MD site in Dachau will be interrupted until the beginning of September.
Until then, the company that carries out the heavy work on the site will go on vacation. So that Dachau families and interested citizens can view the large device with which the demolition and earthworks are carried out, the excavators are lined up in a parade on the site. The excavator show can be viewed at the Isaria information tower in Ostenstrasse until the beginning of September. The area around the information tower is open from Wednesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. By the way: In the new Mühlbachviertel, around 600,000 tons of soil have so far been moved over an area of 1.4 hectares. That corresponds roughly to the weight of 60,000 elephants.
