The International Military-Technical Forum (Armia 2021) kicked off today in the city of Kubinka, on the outskirts of the Russian capital, Moscow, with wide international participation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a speech during the opening that the forum will enable Russian and foreign experts from about 100 countries in the world to get acquainted with the latest developments in the defense industries and discuss prospects for deepening military-technical relations as well as issues of cooperation in the field of defense of countries and ensuring their national interests. He said: Russia has something to be proud of and what it offers its allies and partners.

Putin noted that the proportion of modern weapons in Russia's strategic nuclear forces exceeded 80 percent, and that many Russian weapons have no alternatives in the world in terms of their properties.

Putin pointed out that there is a great demand for Russian weapons in world markets, and today they reliably protect the security of many countries.

Today, the seventh session of the International Military Games (Armia 2021) was officially inaugurated at the cultural training complex of the Russian Ministry of Defense called Patriot Park in Alabino Square in the outskirts of Moscow, with the participation of the Syrian Arab Army team.

Military matches and competitions will continue until the fourth of next September, in which 275 military teams from more than forty countries from Europe, Asia, America and Africa will compete in 34 different military competitions. Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia and Uzbekistan.

Teams from the Syrian Arab Army are participating in the tank biathlon competition and the Army's cultural arts competition, which are held in the outskirts of Moscow, the diving competition in Iran and the artillery champions competition in Kazakhstan.

The tank biathlon race is one of the most important military games competitions and is divided into two stages, the individual race and the relay race, in which the competitors must pass the competition track, which is encountered by various obstacles and obstacles.

Earlier, a draw was held to determine the order and dates for the teams’ participation in the individual tank biathlon race from 19 countries. The participating teams were divided into two groups, and the Syrian Arab Army team entered the first group along with the teams of Russia, China, Belarus, Vietnam, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and Azerbaijan.

The Syrian Arab Army team is playing its first match in the tank biathlon framework after the official opening of the games with the teams of Vietnam, Venezuela and Mongolia, and according to the best results of the individual race, 12 teams will be determined to participate in the semi-finals, of which 4 teams will participate in the final round of the relay race on the fourth of next September.

In conjunction with the International Military Games, the Russian Defense Industries Corporation (Rostech) is organizing, from August 22 to August 28, an international military-technical forum that includes new products, including fifty models of the latest weapons and combat equipment, including the fifth generation (Su-57A) ) destined for export include drones, guided missiles, machine guns, pistols, precision targeting devices and modern reconnaissance systems.
