During the holidays and beyond, the 3G rule hardly affects Bavarian schoolchildren.

Another rule could tie her back to her desk at home when she starts school.

Munich - The students in Bavaria still have three weeks to rest from the teachers - and vice versa.

Then the second full school year starts during the corona pandemic *.

But many are already thinking about how the start of school will go.

Do many students have to spend their first day of school in front of their home PC?

(By the way: Our Bavaria newsletter informs you about all developments and results from the Free State about the upcoming federal election - and of course about all other important stories from Bavaria.)

Corona and school in Bavaria: 3G rule hardly affects students

But before the buffalo starts again, the holidays should be enjoyed to the full.

This also includes, for example, a visit to an indoor swimming pool, especially given the modest summer weather this year.

But the 3G rules decided at the Prime Minister's Conference have been in effect since Monday.

This means that from an incidence value of 35 when entering indoor areas such as swimming pools, restaurants or gyms, a negative corona test * must be presented.

However, this does not seem to apply to students.

In principle, those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered are exempt from the obligation to test.

And children under six don't need a test either.

According to the Ministry of Health, schoolchildren do not have to provide negative evidence.

They would be tested regularly as part of the class.

This also applies during the holidays.

Children and young people from Germany must present a document that proves that they have attended school in order to be exempted from the 3G rule - for example a student ID or a student ticket.

It is not necessary for the children to show a negative result, according to the Ministry of Health in Munich.

Students from abroad must submit a confirmation from the school and prove that tests are also taken there on a regular basis.

Corona and school in Bavaria: Many students are threatened with alternating classes at the start of school

When school starts again, many pupils in Bavaria could be threatened with changing classes again. Because the incidence values * in Bavaria have been rising again for weeks. From a stable incidence of over 100, it is then again time to cram on a laptop and PC. So far, this would only affect the cities of Schweinfurt (101.1; as of August 23, RKI) and Rosenheim (140). However, a lot can still change in three weeks.

"The incidence-dependent alternating instruction must therefore finally be deleted from Bavaria's Corona regulation and a convincing security strategy presented," said the education policy spokesman for the FDP parliamentary group in the state parliament, Matthias Fischbach.

It could not be that tested in Bavaria as good as anything is possible - "just not go to school".

The Corona regulation must therefore be changed in good time before school starts and the incidence value must be removed.

The social and psychological consequences of the school closings have so far been far worse for the children than the risk of illness from Corona.

Now the specter of alternating lessons lurks at the start of the new school year - despite all the declarations that they want to secure face-to-face lessons.
