SANA monitored the courses that target students of the category B curriculum for basic education and are implemented in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), where the supervisor of compulsory education in the Duma area, Safwan Al-Ali, explained that the number of students enrolled in the courses in the Duma educational area amounted to about 285 male and female students distributed among four centers to compensate for the lost The educational process they had due to the suspension of the educational process during the period of the presence of terrorists in the area.

Al-Ali pointed out that the courses are implemented during the summer vacation and are divided into four levels, from the first to the eighth grade, where each level includes two grades, indicating that at the end of each session a test is carried out to assess the student and determine which grade will be accepted on the basis of this evaluation.

In one of the courses centers, Dalal Aqeel, principal of Salah Saleh School, indicated that the subjects taught are Arabic at an average of 11 lessons per week, mathematics 6 lessons, science 4 lessons, English language 3 lessons, and one lesson each for sports, music and drawing, pointing out that stationery is distributed to the students.

The school, Israa Kahlous, in the third level, pointed out to the students' interaction with the courses and the great incentive they have to make up for what they lost to be in the appropriate class for their age, just like their peers.

During her presentation of the stages of forming an electrical circuit, the third-level student, Shahd Al-Ajwa, expressed her happiness in joining the course, which achieved a great benefit for her to improve her educational level. Among the grape vines at the same level, he lost more than a year of his educational life as a result of the terrorism that his area was subjected to and was able through the courses From making up for the shortfall he has in English, Arabic and mathematics, expressing his thanks to the educational and administrative staff for their efforts.
