The past leads the way

Well, no.

I'm not leaving yet.

I was determined to do it, but Maribel has convinced me to stay until the end of the month, until the day for which I have my return ticket.

I started to look at how much I could buy one now, on such short notice, and my goodness.

Maribel told me why don't we do together what I had set out to do alone on this trip. Maybe you've already forgotten, but if I brought that photo album, it was to use it as a guide, to go back to all the places we visited that summer and to photograph them again. The photo someone removed from the first page is missing, but the others are in place.

It still gives me a bit of anger and a lot of bad vibes to know that someone took that photo of us there, but I try not to think too much about it. When I think about things that give me bad vibes, the first thing that comes to mind is the alien that attacked me - it was not an alien, but you understand me - and about which the police, at the moment, do not know anything. Or if they know something, they haven't called me to tell me. I don't really know what those cops will think of me either. When they came I asked them to take Francisco's notebook because at that moment I was convinced that it was what I was looking for, that what the alien wanted - it was not an alien, you know - was to destroy that notebook with all of Francisco's theories , as if he were a man in black doing his job, and well, okay, that wasn't it anyway. If it depended on the face the cops made when I told them,I already tell you that it sure was something else. One robbery attempt and that's it. Someone who saw me up there, hanging around Patricio's house, and tried to scare me to steal money or my cell phone or whatever I was carrying. But look, be that as it may, I don't care. It relaxes me a lot to know that I no longer have that notebook around.

Although what relaxes me the most is thinking about the journey I'm about to start with Maribel.

It's going to be fun!

We have planned a route for the next seven days according to the photos in the album, so that we will be touring the entire island with your car and we will not sleep here again.

I think a change of scenery is going to be very good for me.

The truth is, I feel like my real vacation started today.

As if nothing bad could happen anymore.
