At about 1 am today (24th), when police officers patrolled Cheung Sha Wan Road near Nam Cheong Street in Sham Shui Po, they found a suspicious man. During the interception and investigation, the suspicious man fled with his feet and on his way to the nearby Cheung Sha Wan Road. At the junction with Shek Kip Mei Street, he was eventually intercepted. During the entanglement, the suspect made a violent attack and was eventually subdued. However, in the chaos, a male policeman was injured in the shoulder and foot.


According to the source, while the suspect fled, he threw a packet of suspicious objects into the flower trough. The police officers retrieved the packet. It was initially believed to be 150 grams of suspected ice, with a market value of about 80,000 yuan.

It is understood that the man, whose surname is Mai (28 years old), is unemployed and was later arrested on suspicion of "drug trafficking" and "assaulting police."

The injured male police officer in uniform was escorted to Caritas Medical Centre for treatment, accompanied by a casual uniform.
