17 fruit trees represent moments of happiness in life

In the course of the first half of the year, citizens of Bruck planted 17 cherry, apple, plum and pear trees of old varieties on Schöngeisinger Strasse together with the city nursery.

Fürstenfeldbruck - they all stand for a moment of happiness in life that can be fondly remembered with the tree: a wedding, a birth or even a crisis in life that has been overcome.

Martin Tielke from the town's citizens' pavilion came up with the idea for the “Moments of happiness” campaign.

The response to the call last year was so great that five more trees will be planted on the playground in Buchenau.

And while planting, the tree sponsors were able to get tips on how to care for them. The action is now complete, as it is called from the town hall. The certificates were handed over to the tree donors at a small celebration. As a surprise there was also a basket with fruit for everyone. Together with Mayor Erich Raff (front right), the godparents toasted the prosperity. "With the trees you can let others participate in your own happiness and at the same time do something good for the environment," said the city chief.
