The arrest of the murder suspect, a 15-year-old boy from the settlement, was extended by seven days.
"I am the father of a child who defended himself, what happened should not have happened," said the suspect's father, who will be sent for a psychiatric examination.

Shimon Alush, 17, is the boy who was stabbed to death last night (Tuesday) in the town of Shlomi in the Western Galilee.
The arrest of the murder suspect, a 15-year-old boy from the settlement, was extended by seven days, until next Monday.
Alush's funeral will take place tonight at 9:30 PM in Shlomi Cemetery.
"I am sad that this happened," said the father of the 15-year-old suspect, who will be sent for a psychiatric examination.
"I am the father of a child who defended himself. What happened was not supposed to happen. What I understood was that he defended himself, that the other side also took out a knife, and he defended himself."
According to the father, "Here in Shlomi we are all like family, everyone here knows each other. They were friends, and there was an argument that I myself did not know (about him - 11)." What girl is this, I know she's their girlfriend.
They are guys of almost the same ages, and beyond that I know almost nothing. "

The suspect's father says he was not home at the time of the incident, "I was with a friend, she lives nearby. Called to tell me my son was under arrest."
He said he made sure to turn his son over to the police, and has not met with him since.
"We did not meet because he is under arrest and I have no way of talking to him. It is difficult, not simple, very difficult. It is sad. I think of the other side as well. Two children who have lost their lives."
Sharon Zaguri, the owner of the "Hasharon" pizzeria on Shlomi's main street, told Walla!
Because he knew the two boys well.
"They both sat with me yesterday until late, like every day," he said, "the young people like to come here to eat pizza too. Yesterday they were both with me until 1am after midnight. They were together, like every day."
He said he did not recognize anything different in their behavior last night during their visit to the pizzeria.
"There was nothing, I say there is no connection to any girl and no girl is involved in it," he claims.
"Shimon helped me close and the other boy was still sitting there. After that Shimon and two other friends went to Slichot in the Ohel Moed synagogue, which is right next to the suspect's house. After a while the suspect boy entered the synagogue and called Shimon outside and surprised him."

Sharon claims that Alush did not expect a meeting with the suspect, and was apparently not prepared for a confrontation. "Simon probably thought he wanted a cigarette or something. The boy was 15, not on his scale, so he was relaxed and didn't feel threatened. Unfortunately and sadly it ended the way it did." The owner of the pizzeria claims that he knows Alush well, and that he is a "guy with a heart of gold. He speaks respectfully and respectfully, with everyone. Even with my 71-year-old mother, he goes in and kisses her head three times a day. "Not in a section of violence, this is not his style at all. He would help everyone voluntarily."
The suspect, however, is "a poor boy who suffered from many problems and was unable to fit into any setting. He was previously hospitalized, felt rejected. He does nonsense and infuriates the environment. A judge decided to stop his pills five months ago and we saw the result. "Balance, was not in focus, talked about beating and stabbing. We saw it, but no one referred to him because he is a child."
"Getting up like this in the morning is a big shock and sadness. This is a great tragedy for the entire Shlomi community," said Gabi Naaman, head of the local council. "To deal with a major crisis in the locality. There has been no such thing in the seven decades that the locality has existed. We will learn what needs to be fixed and we will do everything necessary."
