Today, elements of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Hama governorate seized a car loaded with 41 tons of yellow corn imported into a peaceful fodder center, adding about half a ton of sand as compensation for the embezzled corn.
Riyad Zayoud, director of internal trade and consumer protection in Hama, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the vehicle was seized and the driver was referred to the competent authorities and the confiscated quantity was transferred to the sifting.
In a related context, Zayoud indicated that a seizure had also been organized against the Rangos gas station for violating the trading in the amount of 14,800 liters of the strategic reserve of diesel, in addition to organizing two catering seizures against two people for committing the illegal trade in gasoline, as well as the seizure and confiscation of 23 bundles of catering bread. One of the violators was arrested for possessing and offering to sell the insecticide-infected semolina.
