A woman who did a live broadcast on Facebook to show how water was rapidly collecting around her home is now among the 22 people who have lost their lives in the floods in Tennessee.
"Well if anyone sees me on Facebook Live now,
we're flooding
," Linda Almond said Saturday in a 70-second video, showing a stream of cloudy water outside her window covered in raindrops.
Almond told friends on Facebook that he was in Waverly, a small town about 75 miles west of Nashville in Humphreys County that recorded 17 inches of rain in just 24 hours on Saturday.

."

The Waverly Department of Public Safety said Almond was missing on Sunday, and was later confirmed dead, her niece, Joy Hoffman, told NBC News.
Almond's daughter also confirmed the death, according to The Washington Post.
At least 22 people were killed in the flooding and 18 others were still missing Tuesday morning, Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis said.
Of those, 20 deaths occurred in Waverly, according to Grant Gillespie, head of the city's public safety department.

Among the victims were the sheriff's best friend;
a 7-year-old girl;
and 7-month-old twin babies
who were dragged away from their father when the water flooded their home.
"It
has been a very big impact on this small community
," Gillespie told reporters, "the scars will last for many decades."
Local authorities indicated that there were houses that were torn from their foundations and cars that were scattered throughout the area.
The 911 emergency service was temporarily disconnected.

Residents were still being instructed to boil water Tuesday, while several Waverly roads were closed as crews attempted to clean up, according to the Humphreys County Emergency Management Agency.

will be closed
for the remainder of the week.
