For him any help came too late.

Weiden: Flight experts called for help

The Kripo Weiden * took over the investigation.

In addition to numerous emergency services, a police helicopter was also on site.

In addition, two flight experts from the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU).

Weiden: Probably the cause of the accident was a failed landing maneuver

A flight error on the part of the pilot is currently assumed to be the cause of the accident.

Initial investigations showed that he was approaching the airfield.

After touching down on the runway for the first time, however, he was probably not able to complete the process completely, whereupon he tried to start again.

A few meters further, the aircraft then drifted to the left and crashed from a height of about 20 meters.

Weiden: Federal Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau prepares reports

The on-site experts were able to rule out third-party faults, as well as a technical defect in the aircraft.

The Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation will prepare an opinion to further clarify the accident.

In addition, the pilot's body was autopsied on August 23.

The Kripo Weiden carries out further investigations.
