The Council of Ministers stressed the need to prioritize the ministries’ projects in the next year’s budget to be qualitative and have direct economic returns, secure more job opportunities and contribute to increasing production, in parallel with expanding the circle of participatory decision-making with unions, unions, organizations and the local community, which will reflect positively on improving the economic and service reality. and living.

During its weekly session today, chaired by Engineer Hussein Arnous, the Cabinet asked the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection to implement an incentive system for oven workers and to carry out the necessary maintenance for bread production lines to improve the quality of the loaf and to automate the procedures for distributing flour to reduce any excess.

Engineer Arnous stressed the importance of expanding the package of government support programs for micro, small and medium projects, directing loans towards supporting the productive process, and forming follow-up committees from banks to ensure that loans are disbursed in stages according to implementation rates and not to be exploited for non-productive purposes and to facilitate procedures for obtaining and granting them according to specific time limits.

In addition, the Council of Ministers discussed the memorandum of the Ministries of Agriculture and Water Resources on the reality of irrigation in the governorates and the necessary measures to rationalize water use, facilitate farmers’ access to modern irrigation requirements, expand their industry, motivators of the transition towards modern irrigation, and the difficulties encountered in implementation and proposals to solve them.

The Council asked the Services Committee to find solutions to secure the transportation of workers in the public sector to and from their workplaces and arrange their transportation hubs through the use of transportation affiliated with public entities and buses of the Internal Transport Corporation, in addition to securing all occupational health and safety requirements for workers.

The council agreed to increase the number of octane 95 petrol stations on international roads and at city entrances, and stressed the need to reconsider the mechanism for distributing fuels to farmers in the governorates, laying new foundations to ensure that fuels for the agricultural sector reach farmers, combating methods that enable the theft of material and taking severe penalties against violators. .

The Council also stressed the need to enhance the role of Syrian embassies in communicating with expatriates to attract investments and activate the work of the Special Committee to communicate with Syrian investors abroad and to address any issue that hinders their return and the exercise of their activities on the homeland.

The Cabinet also approved a number of service and development projects in a number of governorates.
