Robert Singer in a special letter marking the 85th anniversary of the Berlin Olympics under the Nazi regime: "Symbols that the achievements in Tokyo gave further evidence of the victory of sports over hatred, anti-Semitism and racism"

The Center for Jewish Impact, together with the Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club and the World Zionist Organization, are currently working on a special project - "United through Sport", to mark the 85th anniversary of the 1936 Berlin Olympics, which was held under the Nazi rain in Germany.

The organization's chairman Robert Singer issued a special letter explaining the cooperation, the sport's victory over politics and how important the achievements of the Olympic delegation in Tokyo 2020 are: There is something symbolic in the fact that exactly 85 years after the Berlin Olympics, which sought to perpetuate Aryan supremacy over the Jewish people through the sports field, we get further evidence of the sport's great victory over hatred, anti-Semitism and racism.

The Berlin Olympics were a combination of rare sporting achievements that seemed to serve to hide the bleak reality that was about to stir up the continent of Europe and the whole world, and were a backdrop for the dictatorial regime.

The 1936 Berlin Olympics presented the world with a picture of an enlightened and open Germany, one in which symbols of the Third Reich are hidden, and the achievements of the German delegation to the Games are highlighted, which surprisingly won most of the medals in these games.

As we mark the 85th anniversary of the Berlin Olympics, with the intention of learning and teaching new narratives related to the roots of anti-Semitism and hatred, we must look back to fully understand what is sometimes happening even today on sports fields, in everyday sporting realities around the world.

One of the upcoming events we are working on these days to promote this important issue is a special event to mark the 85th anniversary of the Berlin Olympics, under the title "United through sports", which is led by the Center for Jewish Impact together with the Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club and the World Zionist Organization. "My friends and I are closely following these phenomena and are receiving the attention and support of most of the heads of international sports organizations, with whom we work together to raise awareness of the issue, and to keep sports out of politics and out of any negative social phenomenon."
