The draft for the new Infection Protection Act shows the departure from the incidence value.
The hospitalization rate takes its place.
However, the leaked paper does not answer all of the questions.
Munich - By next Monday, the federal government is to present a draft for a modified infection protection law. In it, the incidence value is abolished as the exclusive criterion for measures to contain the corona pandemic. The hospitalization rate will play an important role in this regard in the future - one crucial question, however, remains unanswered.
In the draft law of the CDU / CSU and SPD, which
is before
the
world
, it says: "The number of new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days is no longer a central benchmark due to the vaccination progress." also the incidence values, beyond which the authorities have to intervene, are “no longer up-to-date”. This applies to the incidence values 35 and 100, as well as “especially for the threshold value of over 50”.
According to
Welt, the
decisive factor for protective measures against corona in the
future will be “in particular” the rate of hospital treatments - the so-called hospitalization rate. It is calculated in a similar way to the incidence value and shows the number of hospital cases per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days. On Tuesday (August 24), the nationwide hospitalization rate was 1.38. Last winter, according to the federal government, the quota reached values of more than 10 in some cases. However, the draft leaves open when measures are to be taken.
