Homs firefighting teams were able to put out the fire that broke out with dry grasses and wooded lands at the Al-Qasha’at site in the Oyoun Al-Wadi area on the administrative border of Homs, Tartous.
The Director of Civil Defense in Homs, Brigadier General Ghiath Aqel, told SANA reporter that the civil defense cadres, the Homs Fire Brigade and the Directorate of Agriculture, after great efforts, despite the difficult terrain and the speed of the wind, put out all the fire spots that erupted at the site, to which the fire spread from the site of the landfill fire in the Mashta al-Helou area, and is currently being cooled. The site and monitoring to prevent the fire from recurring, indicating that the area of the fire is estimated at 25 dunums.
Earlier today, Homs firefighting teams put out a fire that affected dry grass and forest trees in the village of Al-Khansa in the western countryside of Homs.
