There were seven new imported cases in Hong Kong today. The first case involved a 9-year-old boy (#12064) who arrived in Hong Kong from Lithuania on flight AY101 on August 19 and was diagnosed during quarantine at the Wong Chuk Hang South Bay Hotel.

The second to sixth cases (#12065 to 12069) arrived in Hong Kong from Pakistan with EK384 on August 22. The patients were relatives between the ages of 6 and 34.

The seventh case (#12070) was a 56-year-old female patient who arrived in Hong Kong from Turkey on TK083 and was diagnosed during quarantine at the Regal Airport Hotel in Chek Lap Kok.

According to data, five people had received two doses of vaccine in Hong Kong earlier, four of them were vaccinated with Fubitai and one was vaccinated with Kexing.

Among them, the 56-year-old woman who was vaccinated with Kexing arrived in Hong Kong from Turkey. She tested positive for antibodies in a blood sample test in Hong Kong on July 13.

Emirates Dubai and Bangkok flights banned for two weeks

Since Emirates operated on August 22, five passengers on flight EK384 from Dubai and Bangkok, Thailand to Hong Kong were diagnosed, the Department of Health cited the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Regulation of Cross-border Transport and Arrivals) Regulations" Statutes prohibit Emirates airlines from landing in Hong Kong from Dubai and Bangkok between today and September 6.
