The state company Rostec, which manages the military production sector in Russia, announced that the Russian army has received the first batches of "T14 Armata" tanks.
Sputnik news agency quoted the company's first deputy director, Vladimir Artyakov, as saying during the meeting of the "Armia 2021" forum yesterday: that among the new equipment recently delivered to the Russian Armed Forces is a group of "T14 Armata" tanks, which are experimental.
Last July, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that Russia would start industrial production of T14 Armata tanks in 2022.
According to "Izvestia" newspaper, quoting a source in the Russian Ministry of Defense, the T14 tank will become a mobile headquarters thanks to the unique automated management system that enables the commanders in the tank to control other military mechanisms on the battlefield.
This tank can protect other military vehicles from enemy aircraft and anti-tank weapons thanks to the electronic jamming and jamming devices available in it, and it can provide fire support for infantry vehicles when necessary thanks to its unique 125 mm gun.
