Serious accident at Tegernsee: Unimog hits woman - now she succumbed to her serious injuries

A serious accident occurred in Rottach-Egern on Monday afternoon.

The southern main road (B307) was completely closed.

Update from August 24th, 10 a.m.:

As the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South announced, the woman seriously injured in the accident in Rottach-Egern died late on Monday evening.

She had been taken to the Murnau Accident Hospital, but could no longer be helped.

According to the current status of the investigation and the experts on site, the public prosecutor's office will not investigate the community employee for negligent homicide, the police said. He could not be blamed

Update from August 23, 6.44 p.m.:

The police report on the serious traffic accident in Rottach-Egern (see first report) is now available: According to the information available to date, a 79-year-old Tegernsee

from the meadow near the Marienbrunnen in Rottach at around 4.30 p.m. -Egern, Südliche Hauptstrasse, suddenly on the federal road, presumably to reach the crossing aid in the middle of the lane. A Rottach community worker was driving the community Unimog in the direction of the town hall when the woman entered the lane. The Unimog caught the Tegernsee. The woman was seriously injured in the collision and, after initial treatment by the emergency doctor and the BRK, was flown by rescue helicopter to the Murnau Clinic for further treatment.

The Munich II public prosecutor's office ordered further measures to determine the cause of the accident, including an accident analysis report.

The federal road 307 had to be closed partly completely and partly single lane.

The Rottach-Egern Volunteer Fire Brigade (FFW RE) set up a diversion.

The FFW RE with around 30 men, BRK, emergency doctor, rescue helicopter, an appointed expert, three patrols from the Bad Wiessee police inspection and the crisis intervention team were in action.

Rottach-Egern - Around 4:30 p.m. on the B307 (southern main road) in Rottach-Egern, a serious traffic accident in which a person was seriously injured.

The federal highway is currently completely closed in the area.

Rescue workers and the police are already on site, rescue and recovery work is in progress.
