Since August 23, there have been stricter entry conditions for travelers from Germany in Spain.
The reason is the increasing number of infections in this country.
In contrast to many other European holiday countries, German travelers did not have to present a negative corona test or proof of vaccination or recovery for the trip to Spain for a long time.
This was due to the fact that, from the perspective of the Spanish government, Germany was not a corona risk area.
But that has changed since August 23rd - which means that stricter rules for entering Spain now also apply.

In the last few days and weeks, the number of new infections in this country has risen continuously, so that other countries such as Spain are now responding.
First, the federal states of Hamburg, Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saarland and Schleswig-Holstein were classified as risk areas from the perspective of the Spanish government, now the rest of the country is following.
The reclassification should initially apply for seven days.

Specifically, this means
: All those entering from Germany over the age of 12 must submit a negative test or proof of vaccination or recovery by midnight on August 29th.
Both PCR tests that are not more than 72 hours old and antigen tests that are not more than 48 hours old are permitted.
Apart from that, all travelers must still
fill out
the
health form on the Spain Travel Health portal or in the SpTH app
prior to their trip

A QR code is generated on this and must be shown upon entry.
The 7-day incidence in Spain is currently at a value of 130.05 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants (as of August 23, Ministerio de Sanidad).
