Suresnes: a T2 passenger sees a body suspended in the void from a tram

The emergency services alerted by the witness discovered the body of a 34-year-old man, who hanged himself on the railing of his window.


Macabre discovery and in very particular circumstances.

This Monday, around 8 p.m., the T2 tram passenger thought he saw from the tram cabin the body of a man hanging from a balcony, between Suresnes-Longchamp and Saint-Cloud stations.

The user immediately called for help to raise the alarm.

Arrived on the spot, in Suresnes, rue Fernand-Forest, the firefighters broke a window to be able to enter the apartment located on the second floor of a terraced house.

While walking through the accommodation, they did find the lifeless body of a man hanging from a rope.

Which was hung on the railing of its bay window.

His corpse hung in the void was visible from the window of the apartment below.

It could therefore, indeed, be clearly visible from the tram line, which runs along the house parallel to rue Fernand-Forest.

According to the first elements gathered by the investigators, it would appear that the 34-year-old man had been depressed for some time and that he also had serious financial problems. So many elements that can explain this suicide. The body was transported to the Garches Forensic Institute.
